About the Event

If you haven’t started reading you are in for a treat. The story, combined with the discussion, allows readers to step inside the life of Raeven and see where, when, why, and how Raeven was in danger, who the villain(s) were,  her main concerns and options, and observe when a series of events became an extreme case of abnormal incongruity. This discussion will explore what could she or others could have done to change outcomes while exploring her ability to circumvent the experiences and the preceding trauma. Experience the love and healing extended from strangers, how unforeseen people showed up offering protection, and how the gift of grace shined bright in spite of everything that she experienced.

Human rights incidents can happen right under our noses, and our silence allows these violations to continue uninterrupted. Raeven's experiences extend into so many different aspects of life. Listen closely as she finds the courage to speak out about breaches of privacy, trust and security, sex and gender harassment, and parenting as well as systemic abuse, neglect, and outcomes of social injustices.

I hope this will be a fruitful discussion and look forward to hearing from you. Our goal is to create a safe space for in-depth discussion. Thank you for sharing these next four afternoons with me, and thank you for your support. All research and data will be used to positively impact social justice and promote systemic change.
